How to celebrate your baby’s first Diwali

Baby’s firsts are so special to all the parents. And Diwali being one of the major big festivals of India brings a lot of happiness and prosperity. New parents wait all year to celebrate their child’s first Diwali with a complete zest and pomp show.

Diwali seems the perfect time to create some amazing memories with your baby and introduce him/her to all the new and colourful things like lights, people, sweets, flowers etc.

We’ve put together tips that might help you and your baby to have a blast on the first Diwali:

Baby’s Routine is the priority

If you don’t want your baby to be cranky and fussy then stick to their routine. Do follow the same routine which makes your baby feel comfortable and happy. Try and find a room where he/she can sleep with less noise and light.

Clothing is the key

Make your baby wear the most comfortable yet cute clothes. With comfortable clothing, the child doesn’t feel irritated and remains happy throughout the day. Keep the fabric very soft and go for simple traditional clothes rather than glittery and gaudy stuff.

Keep your baby full

Remember a baby with a full tummy is always a happy baby. So, make sure you keep the feeding routine perfect so the baby doesn’t fuss at the time of Puja or when your family gets together.

Keep the decor safe

You now have a small baby in the house. So, your complete decoration might change. Place the diyas at the place where your baby cannot reach. Choose the safest corners.

Say No to crackers

Please do not burn crackers in or around the baby. With the pollution levels being at their peak. It is a must to avoid crackers. Also, as the babies are not ok around loud noises so crackers must be avoided.

Lanterns

Make a wish with your little one and partner and let that lantern reach the almighty.

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous first Diwali with your little one and family!
