Things Not To Say To A Pregnant Woman

Ok, I am pregnant and I am still a person. It is quite weird and funny how everyone at work, home, and public places looks at pregnant women.

We are going to share a few things which you should not say or ask a pregnant woman. Do share it with people who have a habit of putting their nose into everything and anything.

Wowww!! You are huge, looks like there are two in there

Please stop passing these comments. The pregnant woman knows that it’s all pregnancy weight gain. So, stop making her feel conscious.

OMG, are you really pregnant. You look so small

Well, hello aunty ji you have a problem when i look big and now you have an issue with me being small. You might not do it intentionally but it surely is insulting. So, please stop.

Was it an accident ??

Well even if it was, why are you so curious to know this. These things are quite personal and might affect the mental health of a mother to be. So, please keep these questions to yourself and let a pregnant woman be.

I want to touch your belly

What ?? No wait. I know I have a human being inside but, its still my body. So, you are not at all welcome to touch my belly.

Are you sure it isn’t twins

Well, with all due respect my doctors know the best. Please stop these judgements.

How are you going to manage work and home when the baby is out ?

Why don’t you ask these questions from a father ? You will get the answer you are looking for.

Sleep Now, You won’t be able to sleep then.

Don’t worry you are not producing a Zombie. It is going to be a normal human being. So you will definitely have a good sleep.

I thought you didn’t want kids

Never use this statement. You don’t know which emotional chord you might touch and hurt the pregnant woman.

What went wrong with your birth control ?

Even if you have this question in your mind. Please keep it inside your own brain and do not vomit.

I hope you have a boy

We hope you head back into the 1940’s era and never come back again.

Use your statements as wisely as you can. Being pregnant is one of the most special times in a woman’s life. She is already going through a lot of changes. So rather than making it difficult for her. Try and make it as beautiful as it could be.
