Pregnant: First Trimester – What To Expect

Congratulations! Finally after 4-5 home pregnancy tests, you have found out that you are PREGNANT. We are sure you might have 100 questions in your mind. Here, we are to solve the mystery for you. 

The first trimester of pregnancy can be overwhelming. There might be so many changes inside but you might even know. And trust us these changes are amazing. 

Your Body 

  1. First sign of pregnancy might be your missed periods
  2. Your doctor will advice you a number of blood tests 
  3. Your breast might feel sore or sensitive soon after conception. 
  4. You might not feel anything for the first month i.e for the first 6 weeks. 
  5. Gradually you might feel nausea with or without vomiting. 
  6. Eat slowly, small portions but frequent ones. 
  7. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
  8. Try to keep snacks near your bed side. 
  9. You might feel fatigue or sleepy
  10. You might get aversion from some food items and might love a few.
  11. You might feel heartburn 

Try and listen to your body. Do what it asks for. 

Your Emotions

Your pregnancy might leave you feeling overwhelmed, thrilled, anxious, angry, happy, exhausted, tired etc. sometimes. And most of the time all these emotions all together. You might also experience mood swings. And trust us whatever you are feeling is absolutely normal. It’s ok if you feel like crying or for that matter laughing. Just take care of yourself. Try to be around your loved ones and explain to them whatever you feel. 

Prenatal Care 

  1. Please follow your doctor’s advice. 
  2. Do not miss your vitamins
  3. Ask as many questions you have from your doctor. 
  4. Do not hide any discomfort from your doctor. 

The only and the foremost thing which is required right now is you and your health. Dump the rest and just chill.
