Stealing the mother’s beauty
According to this myth baby girl in your womb takes away the beauty of the mother, which is certainly not true. Mother’s beauty is totally dependent upon her health, happiness and harmony.
Adding Saffron in your food makes the baby fair
This myth says that putting saffron in your tea or rice will make the baby fair when born, it’s not true. The complexion of the baby is dependent on the genes of the parents. Food has a very minute effect on the complexion.
You cannot have a normal delivery after a c-section
No, this is not true and is a myth. You can always have a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After C-sec). If you have a good gynaecologist who is knowledgeable, then there is no problem.
Do not raise your hands up
It is said that raising your hands up will cause the umbilical cord wrap around the baby’s neck. This is not true at all. The umbilical cord wraps and unwraps around the baby’s neck due to twisting and turning of the baby before birth, which is quite natural.
Pregnant women shouldn’t exercise
You need to exercise for your own health and for your baby. It is said that a pregnant lady should do light exercise at least 4-5 days a week.
